A vacancy has arisen for a Customer Service Representative, based in Troy, Michigan.

At current, North America, served by our local subsidiary Haltermann Carless US, Inc., represents a share of approx. 5% of our global business.

To strengthen our position in the US, Haltermann Carless US Inc. has opened a regional head-office in Troy, MI in early 2019. To support our strong growth plans, we are looking for a Customer Service Representative to start as soon as possible.

 

Responsibilities:

Your tasks:

-  You are managing the entire order process along all business units, from taking the order from the customer, organizing the delivery of the product to their site, to final invoicing

-  You represent HCS Group in connection with the customer as single point of contact for all inquiries

-  You are setting up new customer accounts and work with local & European colleagues to review credit applications 

-  You are responsible for receiving and processing supplier invoices

-  Liaise with internal contacts located both in the US & Europe on all logistical matters 

-  You are assisting the local sales team in growing the business including, but not limited to: conducting market research on potential new customers and increasing the market intelligence

-  You are providing support of the local management & sales team as required, including, but not limited to: office administration, travel arrangements, event organization and others

-  You are responsible for up-to-date monitoring of sales volumes in HCS reporting systems, e.g. Salesforce & SAP

-  You are responsible to comply with all company policies including those concerning health and safety regulations

-  You will report to the Supply Chain & Office Manager HCUS

-  You will be based at our office in Troy, MI  

 

Required Skills and Experience:

-  Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience within an office environment – Experience in customer service and/or logistics is a plus

-  College degree is a strong plus

-  Strong skills in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly with Excel and Outlook

-  Strong written and verbal communication skills – Reporting, relation and strong negotiation skills

-  Experience in SAP and/or Salesforce is a strong plus

-  Good organizational skills, time management and attention to detail are all critical – Ability to work independently and under pressure

-  Prepared to work outside normal office hours when required
